NHL Predictions 10/9

Season Record (Winning Teams): 25-20

Season Record (Full Predictions) : 2-43

Well I was off last night, quite a bit. However, with a light schedule tonight, and then a very nice Saturday set up for the NHL, I will try to get back on track. Beginning of the season is always tough. Last night I was caught off guard, to say the least. Let's jump into tonight.

Florida at Carolina 7PM

Both teams are looking for a spark to jump start the season. A goaltending match up to keep an eye on for sure as well in Raleigh tonight. Vokoun vs Ward in the battle of the SouthEast division rivals. I feel both teams will gain a point tonight, and a bad bounce will help Nathan Horton get a jump start to his season as well. (Let's see if my crystal ball works).

Final - Panthers 3 Hurricanes 2 F/OT

Dallas at Calgary 9PM

Can the Flames continue their hot, yet lucky ways? I said from the beginning of the season that Dallas was not going to be a playoff team this year and I am going to stand by that as of now. The Flames are on fire, and are getting all the breaks, really, but all good hockey teams require a bit of luck as well. I am doubtful that Kipper will be between the pipes tonight, so that could change things a bit as well, but I still feel the Flames will come out on top in this one.

Final - Flames 5 Stars 3
