Sea Dogs, Olympiques to battle for President's Cup
This past Tuesday night, there were 11 815 witnesses to the epic semifinal comeback of the Gatineau Olympiques, who were down in the series by a count of 3-1 just under a week beforehand, as they fought the Remparts in Game 7 at the Colisée Pepsi for the right to take on the regular season league champions in the President's Cup finals. Christian Ouellet and scoring ace Philip-Michaël Devos opened the scoring for the Olympiques before Mirko Hoefflin and Joël Champagne countered for the Remparts, and the score remained tied at 2 after 40 minutes. Then Ouellet struck again with his tenth goal of the playoffs and Mitchell Porowski scored under a minute later before Devos put his second of the night into an empty net for a 5-2 Gatineau final.

It'll be a whiteout at Harbour Station on Thursday night as the Sea Dogs will have had eight days of rest compared to the Olympiques' two. However Gatineau is nothing if not playoff veterans and masters of overcoming adversity. They had their backs against the wall for three games against Quebec and in the series before that, were down 2-0 against Drummondville before winning the next four straight. The Sea Dogs, having won the season series 2-0 (by scores of 5-2 and 4-3), do have the upper hand here once again, however, run the risk of putting themselves in a tricky position if they take any lead for granted.
errrr, hmmmmm, oh, hell. Saint John in 6
