Zbynek Michalek to Pens

The Pittsburgh Penguins have replaced Sergei Gonchar.
Not an hour after Gonchar signed a 3 year deal with the Ottawa Senators, the Penguins have signed Zbynek Michalek to a 5-year, $20 million contract. Michalek will not provide as much offense, but he's a character guy, a team guy, a tough defenseman who can play big minutes and help with the development of guys like Goligoski, and his contract works for the penguins.
More to come.
