Season predictions from TCL's Blackhawks bloggers team

The season is just two weeks away, so it is time for our annual blogger predictions. The TCL Blackhawks team weigh in below on league predictions for the 2013-2014 season.

For starters, looking around the league, the Bruins, Penguins, and Blackhawks are all expected to take their new divisions; the Ducks and Kings are likely to battle for the top in the Pacific.

Next: who'll come out on top for each conference? Who will win the Stanley Cup? The Blackhawks are looking heavily favored to repeat.

Other league-wide predictions: Good news for Blue Jackets fans; their team is a favorite to make the playoffs in 2014. Panthers and Flames, your teams aren’t looking quite so fortunate.

Finally, predicting which players will take home some hardware this season: the only player we all agreed on was Seth Jones, unanimously expected to clean up the Calder category.

Other predictions for the league:

Evan: Nashville: Weber/Jones pairing; and Colorado will give up a lot goals. They should've taken Seth Jones with that first pick.

Cheryl: Surprise performances from teams like Dallas, Edmonton, and Columbus, re-energized by new blood and roster changes. Dineen will get the Panthers back out of the cellar and possibly even sneak back into the playoffs.
