Game Day : Habs @ Rangers

It's Friday! And nothing fits a Friday better than a Habs game. Too add to it, we're playing the New York Rangers! Always a fun game to watch. Not to sure which way it'll go tonight, as the Habs played a long one yesterday. We just barely got by the Lightning. Mind you, we we're extremely under staffed. No complaints from me on our performance. Boring? yes, but a solid two points to solidify our spot even more in the Eastern Conference.

Moving along, the New York Rangers are battling HARD right now, so expect them to be a fierce team tonight. With Buffalo just two points behind them and Carolina only four points, this is an important one for the Rangers. Expect this one to be fast. New York hasn't been the most consistent team this season, but they've strung together two wins and are looking to make it 3 at MSG tonight.

Plekanec? Gill? Halpern? Are they in the lineup? It's 10:40am here in Montreal and I still haven't hear anything about it yet. Do we need them? HELL YES! I loved that we got away with two points last night, but realistically it would be a lie if I told you I think we can do the same tonight.

Who's hot? Andrei Kostitsyn tallied another goal last night. Marking the first time he's scored in back to back games since January of this year. He's had point streaks, but not scoring streaks. Let's hope he keeps it up tonight. Gotta really give him some credit, he's stepped up big lately. Carey Price, Carey Price, Carey Price. 'Nuff Said. As for the Rangers, Prospal and Gaborik are a force to be reckoned with lately. Gabs has 3 goals and an assist in his last 3 games and Vinny P has 8 points in his last 7.

With a lot on the line tonight for both teams, this one should be a fun one. Expect to see NY blow out of the gate. If we can weather the storm in the first and keep on our game plan who knows what will happen. I have a feeling special teams will dictate the outcome of this Eastern Conference showdown.

Game starts at 7:00pm and is being aired on RDS and TSN.
