Jakub Voracek Uninjured In Kladno Car Accident

Flyers winger Jakub Voracek was in a car accident at 11:30 this morning in his hometown of Kladno, Czech Republic.

Voracek's Ferrari collided with a truck, and was uninjured in the accident. The pictures on Sport.cz’s website are pretty scary, and it appears Voracek was lucky to have walked away from the accident.

According to Kladno police spokeswoman Michaela Novakova to Sport.cz, “(Voracek) failed to comply with safe distance from the vehicle ahead."

Novacova also said this in her statement, but with the rough Google translation no conclusions will be jumped to: "The accident occurred at 11:30 am on the road to the town of Kladno Braškov. During the accident no one was injured, alcohol was similar for both drivers on the spot expelled breath test."

Tim Panaccio tweeted that Voracek told him no alcohol was involved. "All good bud. No injuries, no alcohol."

General manager Paul Holmgren released a statement on Voracek's accident:

“I spoke with Jake this morning. He was involved in a car accident in the Czech Republic. Although his car did suffer damage, there were no injuries. Jake is fine.”
