Zac Rinaldo Injured In Flyers Loss
Flyers enforcer Zac Rinaldo was injured in the Flyers 5-2 loss to the Sabres Sunday afternoon.
Rinaldo collided with Sabres defenseman Robin Regehr in the first period. After the game it was revealed Rinaldo had a laceration on his leg that required 20 stitches.
His participation in Tuesday's match up in New Jersey is doubtful.
“We hope he’s not that long out of the lineup,” said head coach Peter Laviolette.
Rinaldo logged just 2:47 of ice time in the loss, recording two hits. He had a team-high seven hits in over eight minutes in the season opener against Pittsburgh on Saturday, also a loss.
Rinaldo's physical presense was sorely missed. The rest of the Flyers combined for 10 hits the rest of the game.
Tom Sestito will likely dress for Rinaldo on Tuesday.
