Flyers Sign Oliver Lauridsen

Big Oliver is back.

According to insider Anthony SanFilippo, 6'6", 220 lb Oliver Lauridsen signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday.

CSN Philly's Tim Panaccio reported the annual cap hit at $600,000 over the next two seasons. The first year of Lauridsen's deal will be a two-way contract and the second year will be a one-way contract.

Lauridsen, 24, was drafted by the Flyers in the 7th round in 2009. He played 15 games for the defensively depleted team late last season, scoring two goals and adding an assist. The overly physical defenseman also logged 34 PIM in his audition with the big club.

The "Great Dane" played most of 2012-13 with the Adirondack Phantoms, playing in 65 games, and scoring 7 points.

Lauridsen joins a crowded stock of at least ten blueliners for the 2013-14 season. Who gets what playing time remains to be seen.
