Game 31 : Habs vs Flyers
Sorry I've missed the last two games. Been crazy busy lately. But I'm back!
This one is going to be exciting. Last night the Flyers (20-7-5) ended the 12 game winning streak set by the Pittsburgh Penguins, and they look to continue domination against the Habs. (28-10-2)
The Habs have been struggling lately, posting a .500 record in the second half of November. December hasn't been much difference. They're 3-2-1 so far this month.
The Habs offense has slowed down, while the Flyers' offense hasn't stopped all season. Claude Giroux has 5 points in his last five games. Boucher is also playing well since his return, winning 3 straight. Carey Price looks to bring his team to victory once again, while he is having the best year of his career. Carey still sits strong with a 17-8-2 record and a .930 Sv%.
Mike Cammalleri is starting to look a little like the player we say last year during the playoffs. He's scored 3 times in his last four games and the confidence is written all over his face. Look for him to be throwing pucks at the net all night.
After being side lined for 3 games, PK Subban was brought back to the lineup two games ago. Since then he seems a little rattled by the benching, but he should be coming out of his shell sooner than later. I can't disagree with his benching, but 3 games might of been a bit much for a rookie.
Max Pancioretty will make his 2010-2011 Habs season debut tonight. Max played a ton of games last season as a forth liner. He's been in Hamilton all year playing in the AHL. He's a monster down there. Is it time for him to come to the big league? I guess we'll see tonight. Sources say he'll be playing a top 6 role. I'll go out and say that just with the excitement built around his return, that he'll tally a point tonight. Let's hope!
Gomez is a game time decision, while Spacek most likely will be sitting for this one. Gorges should be a go, after missing practive Monday.
Carey Price and Sergei Bobrovsky should get the starts tonight. Might be a good thing for the Habs, as Bobrovsky has sat the last the Philly games.
Game starts at 7:30pm and is being aired on RDS and TSN.
