Game Day : Habs vs Bolts; *LIVE BLOG* Tonight!

Finally it is here. After a 1-1 split in Montreal's first two games, the Habs come home to play for the first time in front of their home crowd at the Bell Center. To make things even more interesting somehow our home-opener ended up being against the Tampa Bay Lightning, a team that is close to a lot of Habs fan's hearts. Personally, they're up there in my top 5 teams so tonight is something I'm really looking forward too. Not only do we get to enjoy the talented Vinny Lecavalier, Martin St-Louis and Simon Gagne, but we get to see former Hamilton Bulldog's coach Guy Boucher make his Montreal debut. Not to mention Steven Stamkos, who had a breakthrough season last year and shared the Maurice Richard trophy with Sidney Crosby. Let's take a look at the match-up.
The Bolts and Habs will meet 4 times this season and if the previous years are any preview to this season, you can expect some pretty exciting action. If the Habs can stay out of the penalty box, I think they have a pretty good chance seeing as it is their home opener and Price did have an incredible game in Pittsburgh so he'll be riding some momentum. If we cannot avoid penalties I think it's going to be another dominant game from the Lightning's offense. With Boucher being the PP specialist that he is and St-Louis and Stamkos expected to be even more dangerous this year, the Habs can find themselves down early if they play undisciplined hockey.
Mike Cammalleri scored twice in his 2010-2011 season debut in Pittsburgh. Halpern and Pouliot also have two points each in their first 2 games. Spacek had a better game in Pittsburgh but looks to improve some more tonight.
Stamkos netted two goals in his first game last week against the Thrashers. Steve Downie also had a two point night in Atlanta.
Roman Hamrlik will join the roster tonight after recovering from a knee injury. Markov still not ready for game play. I've read from a few places he might be ready for Saturday against the Sens. Mattias Ohlund will sit out for the Bolts with a knee injury as well.
Carey Price gets the call in nets tonight for the Habs while Dan "money problems" Ellis should be getting the start for the Lightning.
Game time is 7:30 and is aired locally on RDS.
