Game Day : Habs vs Pens

A much anticipated re-match between these two teams tonight. After an embarrassing exit from the playoffs at the hand of the Habs, the Pens look to take some revenge. Let’s take a look at the match-up.
Both teams come into this game with something to prove from last year's finishes. The Pens want to show that they are always cup contenders and the Habs want to prove the rest of the NHL wrong in saying their cup run last year was a fluke. With both teams losing their season openers, expect to see an aggressive 1st period.
The Habs are still missing key defensemen Andrei Markov and Roman Hamrlik. Jaroslav Spacek and Hal Gill are really going to need to step it up to contend against the Pens' offense. Jordan Staal, of course, is still sidelined with a foot infection/surgery recovery.
Mike Cammalleri makes his 2010-2011 season debut. After his 1 game suspension for his slash on Nino Niederreiter. he looks to continue with the success he enjoyed last season. Finishing the year with 65 points (26 G , 24A , 65GP) in the regular season and 19 points in 19 games during the playoffs.(13G , 6A)
Dustin Boyd had a great Habs debut this week. Both the 3rd and 4th lines played very well in Toronto. Boyd scored a goal and finished with 3 shots.
Malkin and Crosby had no success in adding to the score sheet against Philadelphia. Look for them to play hard tonight to get themselves on pace for another big season.
Price gets the start for the Habs tonight. Let's hope he carries the momentum from Thursday's 3rd period against the Leafs. Carey had a bit of a slow start, but looked great late in the game.
Marc-Andre Fleury will be between the pipes for Pittsburgh. Much like Carey Price, Fluery didn't have the start he would have wanted, ending the game against Philly with a 3.05 GAA , .889 Sv%.
The ame starts at 7:00EST on CBC and RDS.
