Game Day : Habs vs Wild

The Wild travel to Montreal tonight to play their only game at the Bell Center this season. According to sources, we're expecting to see the same line-up as we saw last night in the 6-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators. No word yet if Carey Price will be between the pipes.

Here's what the Wild roster is expected to look like.
Forwards: Cullen, Kobasew, Staubitz, Gillies, Miettinen, Brodziak, Clutterbuck, Almond, Kalus, Earl, DiSalvatore, Peters, Latendresse.

Defense: Zidlicky, Stoner, Scandella, Barker, Noreau, Falk, Bagnall.

Goalies: Anton Khudobin will start with Matt Hackett as the backup.

Even though it's pre-season, keep an eye out for Guillaume Latendresse. It's his only chance to show his skills in Montreal this season after being shipped out of town last year. After the trade, Guillaume had a break out year with the Wild finishing the season with 25 goals and 12 assists in 55 games.

I'm really hoping that JM gives the start to Price once again. I think these pre-season games are what this young Goalie needs. A good way to shake some more cobwebs and grow some confidence before the Habs start their season against the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 7th. The media and the Blogesphere have already made their preconceptions of Carey, and we need all the games we can get to change some opinions.

Game starts at 7:00 pm tonight and will be aired during RIS's LNH sur le vif.

Good stuff Kathryn. I didn't watch last night's game so I can't say for sure what what who's fault but it sounds like a lot of the stats aligned on Price's side. Going to the game tonight so hopefully I'll have some good notes tomorrow, expect a lot of Latendresse booing if you're going to be watching/listening to the game Wink

Habs are screwed, Price will pull a Roy, book it.

Pretty good game, lots of hitting and intensity. Several of the young guys shined, including Nash, Boyd (first star), Subban. I'll try to have more detailed thoughts up tomorrow.

I really liked the line of Pacioretty - Boyd - Ryan White. I'm kinda hoping that's the 4th line for the team come October 7th. They could do some real damage as an energy/secondary-scoring line.

Very glad we're seeing Paches redeeming himself. Love the kid.
