Phoenix has a chance at redemption tonight after losing two match-ups to Chicago earlier this season.  The Blackhawks scored six points against the Coyotes in each of those games, giving them the opportunity to sweep the series this evening.

Despite their success in climbing the standings in points, the Blackhawks have been struggling with their power play unit.  The Hawks scored their first PPG last night since their March 29 loss to Anaheim.  Currently 20th in the league for the power play, the Blackhawks are still trying to find ways to improve their 16.6 PP% heading into the postseason.

Making is return to the ice noticeable, Marian Hossa (17-12-29) has scored four goals and notched two assists in his last five games for the Hawks, including last night’s game-winning power play goal in overtime.

Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane are now tied for the leading goal scorer with 21 goals a piece.  Kane leads the captain with only three points.

Corey Crawford will likely take the start again in goal for the Blackhawks tonight after Ray Emery sat out Friday night’s game with a back injury.

Patrick Sharp who has sat out the last three games for the Hawks after making a brief return from another shoulder injury will make the trip to Vancouver next week, but is doubtful for tonight.
