Islander news: Lets see. Dylan Reese is NOT signing with the Isles, but with the PENGUINS! HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN???

PA Parenteau not resigning with the Islanders and instead signed with Colorado for 4 yrs;16mil. Now, how did that happen?? better yet, How did the Islanders wait so long to try to sign him or better yet, if they didnt think they could resign him, why didnt they try to trade him when they could of. Now they got nothing for him and have to find another player to at least score as many points. (It seems funny that they made it a priority to sign Grabner and Okposo so early in the year, and waited for these 2 players to resign)

So, who'd we get???? So far not much.

Since they were one of the lowest scoring teams in the league, as well as having one of the higher goals against in the league, dont you think they could spend a little more $$ to get some better secondary scoring that actually scores and a better D than we have? sorry, but as far as the Islanders go, this free agency is not impressing me much.

I am still hoping they will prove me wrong.

From an Islanders blogger note:
Sun 9:16 pm: According to a prospect blogger, the NY Islanders only need $2.8 Mil to reach the cap floor. He says that basically 3 entry level contracts. That's a piece of cake.

I might be missing something here, but when somebody gets real exited about finally making it to the salary cap FLOOR????? Seriously?? Just such a sad sad situation that these people think that this such a great thing..........

whats your opinions???
