Power Rankings - Week Of October 1st

The first, albeit short, week of the National Hockey League's 2009-2010 season is in the books. The week was capped off by a full slate of games on Saturday that saw all 30 teams in action. It's obviously a bit of a mess doing Power Rankings when teams have played only 2 games at most, but I'm going to give it a shot. These first rankings will roughly be based on the standings but expect that to change as teams play more games.

Note: Power Rankings are based on each teams performance during the past week regardless of overall point standing.
