Here are my bold predictions for the upcoming NHL season. I'd love to here all of yours as well.
Ducks: will not make the playoffs
Thrashers: Kovalchuk scores at least 100 points for the first time in his career
Bruins: Will be fighting for a playoff spot
Sabres: Drew Stafford will score at least 60 points
Flames: will win the Stanley Cup
Hurricanes: will begin to regret the contract they gave to Cam Ward
Blackhawks: will make it to the Western Conference Finals
Avalanche: Duchene will win the Calder Trophy
Blue Jackets: will make it past the first round of the playoffs
Stars: will be a bottom five team in the league
Red Wings: will not win the Central Division
Oilers: Pat Quinn will win the Jack Adams Award
Panthers: will finish dead last in the league
Kings: Drew Doughty will score at least 45 points
Wild: Mikko Koivu will score at least 80 points
Canadiens: Gomez, Gionta and Cammalleri will combine for at least 210 points
Predators: will make the playoffs
Devils: will win the Atlantic Division
Islanders: Josh Bailey will lead the team in points
Rangers: will not make the playoffs
Senators: Both Spezza and Alfredsson will score at least 80 points
Flyers: John Stevens will be the first coach fired this season
Coyotes: will not be the worst team in the Pacific Division
Penguins: will not make it past the first round of the playoffs
Sharks: Dany Heatley will challenge Ovechkin for the Richard Trophy
Blues: Erik Johnson will score at least 50 points
Lightning: Steven Stamkos will score at least 90 points this season
Maple Leafs: Gustavsson will have the starting position by the time Phil Kessel joins the line-up
Canucks: Luongo will win the Vezina Trophy for the first time in his career
Capitals: Ovechkin will score at least 65 goals
