Komisarek Returns

Mike Komisarek who has missed the last few weeks with a small tear in his quad muscle is expected to be in the line-up tomorrow night at home against the Sabres according to Ron Wilson.

Komisarek, who was averaging just under 20 minutes of ice time before his injury will be a big addition to this Leafs line-up. The team has suddenly seemed rejuvenated in its last five games, collecting 8 of a possible 10 points.

Komisarek who is among the league's best when it comes to hits and blocked shots is also one of the main leaders on this team both on and off the ice. The Leafs have had trouble keeping the puck out of their own net, Komisarek should be a big help in that department.

The early season gelling process seems to be complete as most of the depended on Leafs seem to have picked up their game. Hagman has been unbelievable with 7 goals in his last 6 games. Francois Beauchemin has also improved, posting an even rating over his last 6 games, which is pretty good considering he is averaging about 25 minutes a game. He ranks 10th in the league in that department.

Speaking of Hagman, Dave Nonis has confirmed that teams have shown interest in Hagman. However, he made it clear that the Leafs are not shopping Hagman, but they are indeed listening to offers.

In other Leafs news Grabovski and Beauchemin got into it in practice this morning. This is the second time that Grabovski has been in a scuffle during practice. Last season he and Jason Blake got into a heated exchange during practice. The Toronto Sun's Kerry Toshan who first reported on today's story was able to speak with Grabovski who made light of the situation. "Last time, Blake scored two (in the next game after the fight with Grabovski)," Grabovski said. "This time, Beauch will score two, you’ll see." You can read the rest of Toshan's article here

The Leafs will host the Sabres tomorrow night at the Air Canada Centre. Both teams have a 2-game win streak on the line. The Leafs have not won three games in a row yet this season.

It will be a tough hill to climb for this Leafs team who has won just one more game all season than the Sabres have in their last 10 games. The good news for the Leafs is that the Sabres are the 2nd worst team in the conference in scoring goals. The bad news is that they are 2nd in the entire league in goals against.

It should be close game tomorrow night, enjoy it!
