Anaheim Ducks Have Selected Hampus Lindholm With the No. 6 Selection

With the No. 6 overall selection in the 2012 NHL Draft, the Anaheim Ducks have selected Hampus Lindholm.

Lindholm (18 years old) is a 6'3, 196 pound defenseman out of the Swedish Elite League. Having played the 2012 season with Rogle Jr., Lindholm recorded 17 points (5 goals, 12 assists) in 28 games.

Although he might not be a major offensive threat, Lindholm's skating makes him a dangerous weapon in all three zones of the ice.

He has the ability to make it back to his own zone while quickly jumping free and starting the rush.

Most importantly, Lindholm possesses an overwhelming amount of hockey sense, allowing him to adjust to the play under any circumstance. His awareness and confidence gives this defenseman the potential to be the complete package on the blue line.
