Habs Lock Up Bournival

While the big club was losing the Chicago Blackhawks, general manager Pierre Gauthier locked up another young stud.  Michael Bournival has signed a three year contract with the Montreal Canadiens.  As per team policy, financials were not announced.  After a very controversial week, Gauthier has added to the depth of young talent in the organization.

"Michael has shown excellent hockey skills and has improved constantly since making his debut at the junior level.  Currently representing Canada at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship, he will greatly benefit from this experience on the international stage."

Bournival has fifteen goals and nine assists in 16 games this season with the Shawingan Cataractes.  He was acquired by the Habs from the Colorado Avalanche as part of the Ryan O'byrne deal on November 11, 2010.
