Devils Zeroed Out in 3-0 loss to Bruins

New York, NY - The New Jersey Devils (5-11-2) were blanked 3-0 by the Boston Bruins (9-5-1) in hockey action on Monday night. The Devils were able to outshoot the Bruins by a tally of 28-24, but no pucks could not find the back of the net.

Bruins keeper Tim Thomas made 28 saves for his fourth shutout of the season. On the offensive end Michael Ryder, Nathan Horton and Blake Wheeler were all able to net goals. For New Jersey who was able to get an emotional overtime victory on Friday against Edmonton, could not build on that positive momentum. In the cage for the Devils Martin Brodeur made 21 saves.

The day after the Islanders let go of head coach Scott Gordon one does have to wonder if head coach John MacLean maybe next. His team has not been able to win consecutive games this season with the whole energy on the team being one of defeat before they even hit the ice.

This long road trip will continue as the Devils will head to Toronto for a Thursday night 7:00 p.m. and hope that the struggling Toronto squad will be able to give New Jersey just what they need to get the offensive momentum going.
