Another slow start for the Flyers bit them in an unwelcoming place Wednesday night.
A shot from the point landed on the stick of Jiri Tlusty, and he put it past Steve Mason to give the Hurricanes the 3-2 lead and eventual win over the Flyers on Wednesday. It was the third time in as many games the Flyers dropped to the Hurricanes.
The game was a makeup from Tuesday, which was postponed due to the foot of snow Philadelphia got.

The Blackhawks will travel to Carolina to once again face an Eastern Conference team that they have not seen since 2011. They will also be facing a team that would love nothing better than to say they beat the champs.
The Carolina Hurricanes are coming into the contest with a 2-2-2 record and fresh off of back to back losses from the sticks of the LA Kings and most recently the Phoenix Coyotes.

For most of the 2013 season it seemed the bounces just weren't go the Flyers' way.
Bad bounces led to opponents' goals while they stayed out of the nets when the Flyers were on the offensive. Along with a complicated mixture of other factors, it kept the Flyers out of the post season for just the second time in the last 18 years.
That luck would finally change for the Flyers when it didn't really matter, but it felt good anyway.
In a 60-minute game for the Flyers, a minuscule seven-second window produced two goals which lead to the Flyers' eventual 5-2 win over the Bruins.
