This game is the first of a home and home series between the two talented Eastern Conference teams. They will skate again in Uniondale on Tuesday 11/18/14. Tampa Bay and New York’s statistical lines throughout the 2014-15 look extremely similar.

Hawks halt Lightning's streak at six

The Tampa-Bay Lightning came into the United Center with a six-game winning streak.  However, the Ligntning, who currently sit second in the Eastern conference, couldn’t best the Blackhawks in the shootout despite Ben Bishop’s stellar 37-save performance.  Patrick Kane would score Chicago’s lone goal in the shootout and give the Hawks their second straight win in as many games.

Blackhawks welcome Lightning for Veterans' Day game

On Tuesday night, Chicago (8-6-1) will host the league-leading Tampa Bay Lightning (11-3-1) for Veterans' Day. The Blackhawks will wear camouflage jerseys during warmups, which will be auctioned after the game.

The game will also mark Jonathan Toews' 500th NHL game since his debut on October 10, 2007. Toews is off to a better offensive start than previous seasons and hopes to continue that streak. Toews is currently leading his team with points with 13 (6G/7A).

Flyers fall short to Lightning; Sign D Colaiacovo

The bad luck continues in Tampa for the the Flyers.

Philadelphia came up just short in its quest to snap a long losing streak at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The Lightning held off the Flyers in the third to win 4-3, extending their seven-game home winning streak against the Flyers.

Steven Stamkos was as dangerous as he's ever been, scoring two goals and adding an assist. Valtteri Filppula picked up three assists for the Lightning.
