The Long Over-Due Trade

To see Jarome Iginla traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins should not come to a surprise to anyone, he deserves to win a Cup and as sad as it is to say, he was not going to win it as a Flame.

To be honest, this trade is long over-due, something that should have happened last year, if not earlier.

The Flames enter tonight’s game coming off a 2-0 loss to the Blackhawks last night in Chicago. The Avalanche on the other hand, come into Calgary on two days’ rest, not having played since Sunday when they went down to defeat to the Vancouver Canucks, 3-2.

Breaking the streak will not come easy heading into Chicago to face the league’s best team. According to reports he has given a list of four teams that he would accept a trade to: Chicago, LA, Pittsburgh, and Boston.
