A stormy weekend in Carolina, Legace to the rescue.

With identical 3-2 losses against the Maple Leafs on Friday and the Blue Jackets on Saturday, the Carolina Hurricanes now have lost their last 12 games in a row, recording a mere three points during that losing stretch.

The Hurricanes are now dead last in the Eastern Conference with seven points in 16 games, four points back from the Panthers and the Maple Leafs. The Canes have scored a dismal 32 goals and allowed an astounding 59 goals during those 16 games.

Paul Maurice’s system, whose been quite effective last season after his nomination, has not worked this year, especially on the road where the Hurricanes are still winless.
