Preview: The Kings (18-12-2; 38 points) continue their road stretch in St. Louis to take on the Blues(17-13-2; 36 points) tonight at 5. The Blues sit just behind the Kings in 7th place in the Western Conference standings.

This will be the third and final game between the two teams. The Kings captured two points in the two previous games winning 4-1 in February and 6-4 a couple weeks ago. Despite leading the team with 18 goals Jeff Carter has recently cooled off leaving the Kings with a more balanced approach. Carter scored three times in the two games against the Blues and will look to light the lamp tonight.

St Louis spirits are high after they squash a five game losing streak on Wednesday night, but the Detroit Red Wings cannot say the same. The Wings fell 4 to 3 against the Blues in overtime.

The Kings (3-5-1; 8 points) have a quick turn around after a devastating 3-2 loss in Detroit when they head to St. Louis to take on the Blues (6-4-1; 13 points) tonight at 5. The Kings have dropped their past two games and are 1-3 entering the final leg of their road trip. After a red hot start the Blues are on a four game skid earning only one point. St. Louis lost Saturday night 6-5 (SO) to Anaheim and hope to end their four game home stand on a positive note.

The Kings offensive woes continued in Detroit when they registered a season high 47 shots against Robby Howard only converting two for goals. St. Louis has allowed 22 goals in the past four games with a suspect ...

On free agency day one, the Pittsburgh Penguins attempted to woo a few key additions, but as they decided to make everyone wait, Pittsburgh made a few strong depth moves.
