Eastern Conference Playoffs

The Islanders' season may be done but the hockey season remains, and as a die hard hockey fan I will milk this season for all that it has. The playoff seedings this season came down to the last weeks, days, and games of the season moving teams all around the standings some for the better (Phoenix Coyotes) and some for the worse (Buffalo Sabres). The Eastern Conference matchups are as follows the New York Rangers (1) vs. the Ottawa Senators (Cool, the Boston Bruins (2) vs. the Washington Capitals (7), the Florida Panthers (3) vs. the New Jersey Devils (6) and the Pittsburgh Penguins (4) vs. the Philadelphia Flyers (5). So far three of the four series are tied at one game a piece and the game that is not tied is quite possibly the bigges surprise in the Easern Conference.

Detroit Visits Sid-Less Penguins

Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby will not play Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings due to a recurrence of concussion-like symptoms.

Crosby, who missed nearly ten months because of a concussion, returned a few weeks ago and was playing excellent hockey, until a couple of collisions made the Penguins take him out of the line-up as a precaution for two games, but now that has changed to an indefinite time frame.

Jordan Staal might also sit for the Pens as well.

Detroit will have Jimmy Howard in net tomorrow at the Consol Energy Center. Detroit has lost its past two games against the Penguins, with the last win coming two years ago in Hockeytown, a 3-1 win which saw ...

Talbot And Jagr To Face Old Friends

Tonight the Philadelphia Flyers will face their cross-state rival Pittsburgh Penguins. This game will be a reunion for Talbot and Jagr. How much money is on the board in the locker room tonight ?
