Flyers Sluggish In Loss to Rangers

The Flyers don't want to erase all of the hard work they put in since Feb. 1.

The Flyers dropped 3-1 to the Rangers on Wednesday, their second straight loss and dropping their record to 12-4-1 in nearly two months. The loss also dropped the Flyers three points behind the Rangers for second in the Metro, but they still have two games in hand.

Hawks, new Olympians face off against Rangers

The Hawks (29-7-9) face off against the Rangers (21-20-3) for the first time this season, a day after the much anticipated announcement of the Canadian Olympic team.  Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp, and Duncan Keith will represent Team Canada from the Hawks. Chicago will be sending league-leading 10 skaters to Sochi (Detroit and St. Louis are also sending 10 players), while the Rangers will see seven skaters compete for their countries.

This is our House; Pens beat Jets and Rangers to Extend Home Win Streak to 12

Despite two wins over the weekend, the biggest headlines in Pittsburgh were the returns of Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, and the 12 game home winning streak.

Malkin, who missed nine games due to a leg injury sustained in Detroit, returned Sunday against the Jets in glorious fashion.  Letang also returned on Sunday against the Jets, but will need further time on the ice in order to find his grove.

On Friday, Pittsburgh welcomed divisional for New York Rangers onto Consol ice. It was expected to be a rather close game considering the beat down the Rangers gave the Penguins at MSG just a few weeks back.

Someone forgot to tell Pittsburgh though.

Damien Brunner to the Rescue, Red Wings Win in Shootout

Detroit Red Wings have somewhat of a comeback from their last game against the Blues on Saturday night. Safe to call it a victory? We think so. The Wings started strong. The first period gave a surge of energy to Red Wings fans everywhere. "We have our Wings back" was a common theme across social networking sites tonight. However, the Wings seemed to have a battle ahead. The game ended in a tie, sending the Wings to overtime and a shootout.

Wings Defeated By Lowly Jackets

The lowly Jackets did not look so “lowly” last night in the game they faced against the Detroit Red Wings at 7:30PM. The Wings were not able to capitalize the way they did in the game against the Jackets on Monday, March 26th when the Wings won 7 to 2. The final score won't please you that way, I promise. Unless you are a Columbus fan of course.

The Wings made plenty of poor mistakes giving the Jackets the chance to capitalize early in the game and giving them a momentum that the Wings just could not shatter. Goalie Allen York started for the second time this season for the Jackets and was said to be so excited he could not even sleep, which could have added to ...

Blackhawks romp to a 6-1 win over Blue Jackets to end road trip

After a solid win in New York, the most important thing the Blackhawks had to do in this afternoon's contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets was play a solid game and win. Thankfully, they did both, romping to a 6-1 blowout in a mostly-solid game.

It wasn't a perfect start, although the Blackhawks didn't look like a team that was playing its final game of a 9-game road stretch. After some initial give-and-go, Sami Lepistö blasted a shot intended to spring the waiting Patrick Sharp on a breakaway that probably could have been the first goal of the game. Instead, Derek Brassard anticipated the play - after all, the Blackhawks are getting well-known for this particu...
