The Flames are right back at it tonight with the Anaheim Ducks in town as the Flames finish off rare back-to-back home games to open their shortened 2013 season. The Flames will look for their first win of the season after a disappointing 4-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks last night at the Dome. The Ducks on the other hand come into Calgary after a great start in Vancouver, beating the Canucks 7-3 to add to the Canucks never ending goaltending questions. This will be the first of three meetings between the teams this season.
Surviving a duck attack shouldn't be too hard, especially because they have no teeth. But like Gordon Bombay said, it's because they lost them in a fight and they're tough.
The Anaheim Ducks sure showed some grit last night, going toe to toe with the Detroit Red Wings, the number one team in the league. Although they lost 2-1 in a shootout, they showed some spark for a team out of the playoff picture.
