Calgary Flames Begin

The Calgary Flames and the Batman trilogy have more in common than you think.

I couldn't resist putting my favourite movie trilogy and my love of hockey together in a blog.

Enjoy

Bouwmeester Singing the Blues

The fire sale is underway in Cow Town as Jay Bouwmeester has been shipped to the St. Louis Blues for two prospects and a first round pick.

Kipper looks to be next as the deconstruction continues.

Jarome Iginla: Like No Other

Jarome Iginla is a Penguin now.

it's bizarre to say the least to see him in anything but red, but the time had come for both the team and him to split ways.

Here is my story of Iginla

The Long Over-Due Trade

To see Jarome Iginla traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins should not come to a surprise to anyone, he deserves to win a Cup and as sad as it is to say, he was not going to win it as a Flame.

To be honest, this trade is long over-due, something that should have happened last year, if not earlier.

Jarome Iginla: Trade Looming

Is Jarome's time coming to an end in Calgary?

According to reports he has given a list of four teams that he would accept a trade to: Chicago, LA, Pittsburgh, and Boston.

Will he or won't he?

I think what we can all agree on is that we can't blame him for going after his Stanley Cup dream!

Game Preview: Flames vs Los Angeles Kings

The Flames head back to the Staples Center tonight to conclude their back-to-back and season series against the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings have had the Flames number this season, routing them 6-2 on Saturday night and 3-1 on February 20th in Calgary, and will go for season sweep tonight.

The Inexcusable Dodged Bullet

It is tough to explain the situation that the Flames dodged with the Colorado Avalanche matching the Flames offer sheet for Ryan O'Reilly yesterday night. Here is the story.

Flames add Jiri Hudler: Feaster not done

The Flames added some offensive punch by signing Jiri Hudler to a 4 year deal worth $16 million.

Just three days earlier Feaster signed Dennis Wideman to a big contract.

It doesn't look like Feaster is done yet either.

Flames get ahead of the 8-Ball

It was a busy day for the Calgary Flames as they traded and signed defenseman Dennis Wideman from the Washington Capitals and re-signed forward Blake Comeau.

Mark Jankowski

Not many, if any, predicted Mark Jankowski would be the newest Flames prospect but after trading down from 14 to 21 in Friday nights first round, Jay Feaster and co. had their mind set and made the pick, going off the board. It was a bold move, one that has many wondering if it was best for the Flames organization.
