Flyers Need To Carry Momentum Over Into Big Weekend

A lot could change for the Flyers this weekend.

They’ll face the New Jersey Devils on Saturday and the New York Rangers on Sunday, and both games may have a major impact on the team in the standings.

If Philadelphia pulls off a weekend sweep of both of their division rivals, they could end up sitting atop the Eastern Conference by Sunday evening.

They haven’t been in that position since December 22.

Islanders Skate To First Road Win!

The Prudential Center was as loud as it had been the entire night. The New Jersey Devils just tied the game at 3 with 2 seconds remaining in regulation.

Still Without Power On The Island; Isles Lose 1-0 To Devils

The New York Islanders went into today's game against the New Jersey Devils hoping to make-up for their overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers but came up short, losing 1-0 to another division rival. 

It was the sixth time this season that the Islanders have been shutout, a glaring reason why this team has struggled to win hockey games.

"Obviously we didn't score. If you don't score you're not going to win a hockey game," said Islanders captain Mark Streit to me after the game.
