Flyers Prospect Stolarz Suspended Eight Games For Slash

The Ontario Hockey League has suspended Flyers top goalie prospect Anthony Stolarz for eight games for a slashing incident on Tuesday.

Stolarz, the starting goalie for the London Knights, slashed Windsor Spitfires forward Joshua Ho-Sang in the back of the head during the first period of a 10-2 playoff win. Stolarz reacted after he took an unwanted jab from Ho-Sang's stick following a shot.

Flyers Prospect Anthony Stolarz Suffers Skate Cut Injury

Flyers top goalie prospect Anthony Stolarz was injured Friday night in a freak accident.

Stolarz, playing in the Ontario Hockey League, was cut by a skate in the first period of the London Knights' game against the Saginaw Spirit.

Rinaldo Injured In First Preseason Game

Flyers left winger Zac Rinaldo was injured in the Flyers preseason debut, a 4-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs in London, Ontario at the Budweiser Gardens, the home arena of the OHL's London Knights.

Rinaldo took a vicious hit in the second period, and will be day-to-day with an upper-body injury, general manager Paul Holmgren said.

The Flyers got goals from Doug Clarkson, the younger brother of Toronto's David Clarkson, Brayden Schenn and Nick Cousins.
