In the previous four previews, The TCL Flyers team delved into the players who will absolutely make an impact on the Flyers this season.

In the final chapter of this series, I will go into six players who I think will have an impact on this season, whether it be in the juniors or if they get called up to the Flyers some time this season.

Info For the Flyers 2013 Player Development Camp This Week

On Monday, July 8, the 2013 Flyers Development Camp begins at the SkateZone in Voorhees.

31 Flyers prospects, draft choices and other unsigned invitees are expected to attend. Dan MacNeal has more on the times, rosters and players to keep an eye out for in this year's rookie camp.

Phantoms Drop 2-1 in Front of a Huge Philadelphia Crowd

Ever since moving from Philadelphia to upstate New York, the Phantoms came back to Philadelphia once a year to treat their former fans with some minor league hockey.

This year, they hosted the Wilkes-Barre Penguins in front of 19,561 hockey fans. That number was good for the seventh highest attendance ever at an American Hockey League game.

The crowd was loud and boisterous, just like any other Philadelphia crowd at a hockey game.

A Very Important Camp for Philadelphia

A case can be made for why this year’s rookie camp and training camp are more important than they have been in previous years for the Philadelphia Flyers. It may seem like common sense to many, but there are several key things that go into the significance of this year.

Rookie camp got under way for the Orange and Black this week and a game against the Washington Capitals is scheduled for tomorrow night. Unless your team is participating in a tournament such as the one in Traverse City, rookie camp is fun to get into. But for Flyers fans, it's not usually as exciting. Luckily for a few thousand fans, there is that one Flyers rookie game.
