Scott Hartnell’s return to the Flyers lineup is inevitable.

Certainly it’s going to be a huge bonus getting back the team’s leader in goals scored last season with _. But a bit of a dilemma will hit head coach Peter Laviolette when his star left-winger does return.

Unfortunately for the Flyers, the guys for them who are playing their best hockey are the guys who aren’t doing the scoring. And those who need to step their game up and perform better are those relied upon to put the puck in the back of the net.

National Hockey League fans may still be waiting patiently for the return of NHL action to their television sets, but as the lockout drags on there is still hockey being played around the globe. Some of the leagues premier players have made the move overseas to find a new place to play during the work stoppage, and those who wear the 'bleu, blanc, et rouge' of the Montreal Canadiens are no different. With Habs players in many leagues, ranging from the Swiss National League to the Czech Extraliga, it can be hard to keep up with how they're performing. Despite being dead last in the Eastern Conference and going 3-6-1 in their last 10,  the Montreal Canadiens just completed a roadtrip that saw them earn 5 out of a possible 8 points. One could even say they've opened up and started to (dare I say it?) have fun with one month left to go in the regular season, now that less pressure is weighed on their shoulders.

New Jersey Devils 3 - 1 Montreal Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens played host to the New Jersey Devils on Sunday night, in a game in which the Canadiens would drop a very important two points. Despite a great effort in the third from the Canadiens, the Devils were able to hold them off and win the game by a score of 3-1. For the Devils these two points mean that much more security in their playoff spit (they currently sit 6th in the East), but for the Canadiens dropping the two points meant the difference between being just four points out of eighth, and remaining stuck in eleventh.
