Chicago seeks revenge against struggling Colorado

The league-leading Chicago Blackhawks (23-2-3) continue their four game road trip in Colorado tonight where they will be seeking revenge against the Avalanche team (10-13-4) that ended their historic consecutive games with a point streak just ten days earlier.

The Blackhawks surrendered their first regulation loss of the season at Colorado’s Pepsi Center on March 8th and fell to the visiting Edmonton Oilers just two days later for their second regulation loss. However, the scheduling gods saw fit to give Chicago three days of rest following that Edmonton tilt and the league’s best team did not put them to waste.

Josh Bailey, Brian Rolston, and Michael Grabner all had goals. The Isles were up 3-0 and cruising to an easy two points.

On Monday, September 19th, the Toronto Maple Leafs will take to the ice for the first time in five months. The pre season opener will see the Leafs hosting the Ottawa Senators at the Air Canada Centre. Regardless of the result that night, Leaf fans will finally have that hockey itch scratched. With the summer of longing ending, it is being repeatedly said that if Reimer can continue his strong play, and if the second line plays as well as last season than the Leafs will reach the playoffs.
