Banged Up Flyers Face Florida Panthers Leading Into The All-Star Break

The Philadelphia Flyers (28-14-5) head down to Florida to face the Florida Panthers tonight in what will be their last game before the All-Star break.

The break could not come soon enough for the Flyers as several players have been banged up recently and the seven days off should give some of these players time to heal physically and mentally.

Flyers Back Home To Face The Wild

The Philadelphia Flyers (26-13-4) have played 15 of their last 21 games in enemy territory and have returned home 2-2 from their most recent trip, which ended with a 4-2 loss in Nashville.

The good news for the Flyers is they will be home for three of their next five games leading up to the All-Star break.

In fact, the Flyers will be playing the majority of their remaining 39 games at home (23) this season.

Tonight the Flyers will host a Minnesota Wild (22-16-7) team who started the year red hot, 11-4 in November, but have since cooled.

Flyers Look For Better Finish In Carolina

The Philadelphia Flyers (24-12-4) have struggled since the start of the New Year. They have surrendered leads in all four of their games in the month of January and are 1-2-1 during that span.

Tonight they will look to turn things around against the Carolina Hurricanes (14-22-7), a team who they have dominated in the past. The Flyers have won two of the three meetings this season and are 35-13-7 overall and 17-3-3 since the 2006 season (9-1-1 in Carolina).

In order to keep this trend going the Flyers will need a bit more production from their top line as they did not manage a point in the weekend series against Ottawa.
