Islanders Look To Keep Point Streak Alive As The Rival Rangers Come To Nassau

For the New York Islanders, home hasn't been very sweet, but somebody has been adding some sugar. The Isles, in the midst of a seven game home stand, have points in their last three games, all of which have been on home ice. Even better, they have fought through some adversity to earn these points.

NHL 13 Review: New Physics makes EA's latest in the NHL series a must-buy game

The best chance we all might have for seeing any NHL hockey between now and the winter of 2013 might be on your PS3 or Xbox 360.

NHL 13, developed by Electronic Arts and the yearly update in their long-running NHL series, is where hockey fans will have to turn for their NHL--for the time being, at least. Like any good series, the folks at EA have done their damnedest to make NHL 13 fresh for anyone who will be swapping out NHL 12 for this year's version.

The NHL Entry Draft has come and one. Another year of teams selecting new prospects that will fill their line-ups, and their arenas for many seasons to come. Another year of GMs jockeying for position with trades of picks, prospects, and roster players in order to solidify their line-up before everything gets crazy again on July 1st. And for the Montreal Canadiens, another year of sitting back and watching patiently.

Many, myself included, were expecting fairly big things from general manager Pierre Gauthier ...
