Blackhawks win series and advance to 2nd round with blowout 5-1 win in Game 6

Game 6 was the first chance for the Blackhawks to eliminate the St Louis Blues from the playoffs, in a series eerily reminiscent of the Blues’ first round last year, against the Los Angeles Kings. And even if this game would play out slightly differently than last year’s, it’d be the last game the Blues would play in this year’s playoffs, as the Blackhawks took a 5-1 one victory thanks to a 3rd period completely dominated by the Hawks where they’d score 4 goals.

Blackhawks take series lead with yet another OT win

Two games ago, the Blackhawks’ playoffs hopes may have seemed low, when the St Louis Blues took the first two games, but since then, the Hawks have rebounded. They took the two games at the United Center, making it a tied series 2-2, and then headed back to the Scottrade Center for Game 5.
