Blackhawks host Stars on Sunday evening

The last time that the Blackhawks and the Stars played, it was opening night in Dallas - a 3-2 shootout win for Chicago on October 9th.

It was also one of the rare games where the opponent outshot the Blackhawks this season.

Both teams currently sit just outside the wild card cutoff, with Chicago (19) a few points ahead of the Stars (16) in the surprising Central Division. Hawks' rally falls short as Lehtonen steals show

 

The Chicago Blackhawks pepperd Kari Lehtonen with 50 shots on goal, and rallied in the second period from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game, but it wasn't enough as the Stars took home a 4-3 victory in Chicago's first home game back from the Circus Trip. Lehtonen was outstanding, stopping 47 shots on goal in his 400th NHL game.
